About - SGD was created in 2013 following the birth of my son. I had a dream to continue doing the work I loved whilst finding a balanced way to care for my family. A romantic at heart, I have an overwhelming desire to help people, so, by openly sharing my knowledge and expertise and making it both accessible & affordable I've found a way of achieving this ambition. I am heavily influenced by my immediate surrounds with a love for creativity whether it be food, music, art, reading, writing or websites. And ever-true to the Australian disposition - I'd like to thank coffee for making a lot of this possible.
To create beautiful, affordable, functional websites. Sites that grow a client’s online presence which, in turn, grows their business or profile offline.
Through openly sharing my knowledge I work with my customers to help them develop long-term marketing and web management strategies.
It is through this engagement my clients feel included, informed and committed throughout the design process – A key to the success of my business and theirs.
I am a freelance web designer, editor and content marketer based in Sydney. In 2013 I created SGD providing digital marketing solutions to businesses and individuals from all over the world.
The Creative Freelance Crew
I have worked with a number of talented freelancers over the years. Fortunately – we all got on famously & recongised each other for our strength & reliability. Combined – we are the ultimate collaborative network & have created a one stop shop – for your digital marketing needs.
The best bit? We refer each other which means – unlike a typical agency model – Our individual overheads are lower so you don’t foot the in-house bill. I simply refer or introduce you to my network at no additional expense saving you time & money.
“There are three responses to a piece of design – yes, no, and WOW! Wow is the one to aim for.”
Services - SGD offers web design, site maintenance and management services. Also - through the collective freelance crew, SGD can put you in contact with photographers, graphic designers, videographers and copy writers providing a one-stop-shop for your digital marketing needs.
All of my websites are responsive meaning they work across multiple devices – smartphones, tablets, desktops etc. This is a particularly important feature due to google’s algorithmic changes that took place on April 21, 2015. Read Smart Company’s article on Google’s major SEO update.

Sometimes, when the planets align, I get to work with people who do food really REALLY well. And I love food so there is this instant happiness and excitement when projects like the Fresh Ginger come my way. Recently I had the pleasure of working with the vivacious, cheeky and stunning Aussie expat Josie Taylor AKA The Fresh Ginger. Josie Taylor is one talented lady. A true creative!
This gives me the perfect opportunity to introduce you to one of my favourite clients and their unique concept for an alternative, Eco-friendly Christmas tree. Treekandi founder Melissa Milligan has released a range of non toxic, elegant, Christmas tree wall decals that have a 3 dimensional finish complete with baubles and lights.
An online retail success story | Ahhh who was it that said "Get out of my room, they’re mine and your feet won’t fit them?" Trick question – It was my sister and the year was 1985.
